 WorldClient/RelayFax Integration

WorldClient version 2.2 supports integration with Alt-N Technologies' fax server RelayFax v2.3 or later. The UseRelayFax=Yes key in the [RelayFax] section of WorldClient.ini is used to enable or disable this integration. During installation an option is given to specify the email address that RelayFax is monitoring for messages. If that option is left blank then WorldClient will deliver the messages directly to RelayFax instead of emailing them. Direct delivery is the most efficient method when RelayFax is installed locally, but if you need to use the email method, such as when RelayFax is installed on a machine to which WorldClient doesn't have direct access, you may specify the RelayFax address during WorldClient installation or by adding or editing the FaxEmail=mailbox@domain key in the [RelayFax] section of WorldClient.ini. If RelayFax is installed on a different machine than WorldClient, and you need to specify a UNC file path to RelayFax's \app\ directory, then you can do so by adding or editing the AppPath=path key.

Note

WorldClient/RelayFax integration will use information that is found in the RelayFax.ini file located in RelayFax's \app\ directory. When a UNC file path is used in the AppPath key then you must use UNC file paths in the [Directories] section of the RelayFax.ini file as well. If UNC paths are not used in that section then WorldClient will behave as if the paths refer to its own machine rather than the one on which RelayFax is installed. Using a UNC path to point to a local directory is permitted and will not hinder RelayFax's operation in any way.

When RelayFax integration is enabled, a "Compose Fax" option will be added automatically to the navigation bar of the client pages. The Compose Fax page is similar to the Compose Message page with items added for specifying the recipient's fax number, company, Attn., cover page to be used, and whether RelayFax should return a delivery confirmation message to you. Compose Fax messages will be delivered to RelayFax for faxing to the specified fax number. Each message's contents will appear on the fax's cover page, and, if you have enabled attachment faxing in RelayFax, any supported attachments that the user has included with the message will be converted and faxed along it.
